Marine fouling and biofouling can form at all depths and temperatures and is commonly found in vessel’s seawater cooling systems.
A common method of fouling prevention is the Anti-fouling system, which consists of two types of anodes, a Copper alloy rod to prevent fouling and Aluminum or Ferrous alloy rod to prevent corrosion. An anti-fouling anode, once fitting requires little maintenance and is not damaging to the environment.
Ferrous-alloyed anodes are used in conjunction with copper alloyed anodes to prevent corrosion throughout Cu/Ni pipe work. All materials are available in a variety of sizes and we can offer equivalent anodes of our competitors.

The NOXX HYD™ Anti-Fouling System is an electronic system that is fitted on the inboard side of the vessel on the area to be protected. The system comprises one or more control panels and a set of emitters operating on 220V or 12 volts DC with minimal energy consumption, The control panels can be fitted in any convenient location.
Aluminium alloyed anodes are used in conjunction with copper alloyed anodes to prevent corrosion throughout ferrous pipe work.
Copper alloyed anodes are used to prevent marine fouling found in pipe work strainers, heat exchangers, pumps, box coolers that cause blockage and accelerate corrosion. Fouling is not killed and the system is not damaging to the environment.
